Vastu Shastra is the traditional Indian system of architecture that offers guidance on directions, room placement, open spaces and the balance of the five elements in a building. Many home owners, builders and property buyers in India still ask for Vastu-friendly layouts, so architects, civil engineers, interior designers and property consultants benefit from understanding its principles and vocabulary.
Vastu Ka Saar means "the essence of Vastu", and this 16-hour Vastu Ka Saar Associate course concentrates on the core ideas you can apply to everyday house planning. You learn the basic principles and traditional sources of Vastu, the eight directions and their significance, and how the five elements (Panch Tattva) relate to zones of a building. The Vastu Purush Mandala is explained and applied to simple plans. Room-wise guidelines cover the entrance, kitchen, bedrooms, puja room and toilets, along with plot shape, slope and openings, and simple non-structural corrections for existing homes. Plan-based exercises are shared in the classroom at CADD centres or in live online classes.
The course helps designers and consultants discuss layouts confidently with clients. It works well alongside architectural drafting or interior design courses such as AutoCAD or 3ds Max.
Students rate the course after they finish it — their ratings appear here.
