O Level is the foundation-level computer programme of NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, under the Government of India's Ministry of Electronics and IT). It is widely asked for in government job notices for computer operators, assistants and teachers, and it gives a solid, practical start in information technology for students and job seekers.
This one-year course prepares you for the NIELIT O Level programme. It follows the four main subject areas of the current O Level scheme: IT Tools and Network Basics, Web Designing and Publishing with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, Programming and Problem Solving through Python, and Internet of Things and its Applications. Every module includes lab practice, and the course ends with a project and exam preparation with mock tests. Classes run in the classroom at CADD centres and as live online sessions, and the counsellor guides you through NIELIT registration and exam rules.
After O Level you can work in office IT, web and data roles or continue to the NIELIT A Level programme or a programming specialisation.
You will be able to
Use office tools, the internet, email and digital services confidently for professional work
Explain computer and network basics, cyber security and emerging technologies
Design and publish websites with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Write Python programs with functions, lists, dictionaries, files and NumPy basics

What is the eligibility for O Level?
NIELIT generally allows candidates who have passed Class 12, or Class 10 with a recognised ITI certificate. The rules can change, so the counsellor will confirm your eligibility before admission.

The O Level course runs for one year. The counsellor will explain the class plan and how it fits with NIELIT exam dates.
Can I do O Level coaching online?
Yes. O Level is taught both in the classroom at CADD centres and in live online classes. Python, web design and IoT labs are practised every week, and Arduino kits are used at the centre.
